Wade Is Overturned? |  | The Supreme Court will likely strike down Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey this summer, according to a leaked draft opinion obtained by Politico. If this decision proves to be final, many states could ban abortion care.
These restrictions could place millions at risk of severe complications from unsafe pregnancies and/or abortions. The largest burden would fall on people who face economic barriers and wouldn't be able to travel across state lines in search of care. Ultimately, overturning Roe wouldn't stop abortions, it would just put people in grave, unnecessary danger.
"People who think that abortion didn't occur before Roe are wrong," Christa Ramey, JD, a civil rights attorney at Ramey Law PC, told Verywell. "Women just died before Roe." | | Know More | | Roe v.
