There are differing opinions about whether or not wearing makeup is a good idea when you have acne.  Personally, I wear makeup every day and always have, even when I was in the midst of a bad breakout.  Especially when I was in the midst of a bad breakout.  

I think if it helps you to feel more confident, then makeup is perfectly fine to wear when you have acne, so long as you're washing it off very well at the end of the day.
