Researchers from Cornell University recently took photos of kitchen counters in more than 200 American homes. Their results? Women who had breakfast cereal sitting on the counter weighed 20 pounds more than women who didn't. And if there was soft drink on the counter? They would weigh 24 to 26 pounds heavier.
