From Angela Palmer, your Guide to Acne

Teen acne is so very common. Still, sometimes you may feel like you're the only one with pimples. (Trust me, you're not.)

In fact, many of your friends with "clear" skin are probably using acne treatments right now. They've just found ones that work for them.

You can find treatment that works for you too! Read on for some of your options.

~ Angela

Benzoyl Peroxide
Benzoyl peroxide is a fairly effective acne treatment. And you can get it over-the-counter at any drug store.

Retin-A Micro
If over-the-counter treatments aren't working, a prescription treatment is your next option. Retin-A Micro is a really popular acne treatment for teens, and it works quickly.

Topical Antibiotics
Your dermatologist might also prescribe a topical antibiotic. Topical antibiotics are usually prescribed along with another acne medication. They just work better that way.

A Day In the Life of a Teen With Acne
It can sometimes feel like you're the only one with acne, but that's far from true. So many people feel just like you do, and understand just what you're going through. (And their acne has cleared up -- yours will too.)
